| Dress Code - Sunset Whitney CC
Members, dependents, guests and other patrons of Club property and facilities are expected to wear appropriate attire when on Club property. All acceptable attire shall be worn in good taste. Good taste is defined as free of stains, without rips or tears, and not in a threadbare condition. If clothes are designed to have stains, rips, tears or a threadbare look, they will be considered to be not in good taste.
Mens and Boys Attire:
Acceptable attire is golf slacks or shorts (no shorter than mid-thigh), colored denim pants (other than blue) in good condition, a golf shirt with sleeves and collar, sweaters or sweatshirts with a collared shirt underneath, and turtle or mock turtle neck shirts, including short sleeve mock-neck golf shirts. Shirttails are to be tucked in at all times. Shirts may be worn out if so designed. Unacceptable attire includes tee shirts, sweats, cut-offs, short shorts (above mid-thigh), gym shorts, ball caps worn backwards, blue jeans or blue denim pants and excessively faded denim or jeans of any type or color.
Women's and Girls Attire:
Acceptable attire is dresses, slacks, skirts or shorts (no shorter than mid-thigh), colored denim pants (other than blue) in good condition, golf shirts or blouses (including sleeveless crew necks), sweaters or sweatshirts, and turtle or mock turtle neck shirts, including short sleeve mock-neck golf shirts. Shirttails are to be tucked in at all times. Shirts may be worn out if so designed. Unacceptable attire includes sweat pants, short shorts, skirts or skorts (above mid-thigh), cut-offs, blue jeans or blue denim pants and excessively faded denim or jeans of any type or color, miniskirts, halter tops, tank tops, spaghetti straps, fishnet tops, tube tops, beach attire and bare midriffs.
General Wearing Attire:
Swimming suits shall be worn in the pool area only and shall not be worn in the clubhouse or on the golf course.
Golfers, informally attired, are welcome in the various restaurants. Attire to suit the occasion should be worn in the banquet rooms. Formal attire is required when events are announced and designated as formal, otherwise casual attire is acceptable.
Footwear:
Shoes designed specifically for golf or tennis will be worn for their respective activities. Bare feet are not permitted except in the swimming pool area.
WARNING:
Soft spikes provide different levels of traction depending upon the surface or terrain conditions. Whether executing a swing or walking, always take notice of these conditions and act accordingly. Avoid long or quick strides when walking on surfaces with questionable traction such as wooden bridges, steps, railroad ties, dead grass, tile, hardwood floors, or any terrain or surface which may be either steeply inclined, wet, hard, or smooth. Inspect cleats frequently, as worn and/or debris-clogged cleats will provide less traction than clean, new cleats. Clean clogged cleats and replace worn cleats promptly.
